How We List and Rank Radio Stations

We want you to know exactly what you are looking at. This page explains where our station information comes from, how the lists are ordered, and what to do if something is wrong.

Where the data comes from

Station listings are provided by Radio-Browser, a free, open, community-maintained database of internet radio stations. Anyone can submit a station to it, and its own systems regularly test whether streams still work and mark those that do not. Our site reads this directory live, so the lists you see reflect its latest information.

What we show for each station

The short paragraph on each station page under “About this station” is generated automatically from these details. It is a factual summary of the listing data, not a review or an editorial opinion.

What we filter out

How ordering works

Sort optionWhat it means
Most PopularStations that listeners have played most often through the directory. This is the default.
Top RatedStations with the most community votes.
Name (A–Z)Alphabetical order.
ShuffleA random selection each time, for discovery.

Rankings are based on listener activity, not on payment. Advertising on the site is separate from the station lists and has no influence over them.

Accuracy and limitations

Because the directory is community-maintained, some details can be missing or wrong: a station may be filed under the wrong country, tagged with an unusual genre, or shown with an outdated logo. Streams can also go offline between checks. We are a directory rather than the station itself, so we cannot guarantee that any particular stream will be available at any moment.

Corrections, updates and removals

If you spot an error, or you are a broadcaster and would like your listing corrected or removed, please contact us with the station name, its stream address and, for ownership requests, an email address connected to the station. Since the underlying data lives in Radio-Browser, updating or deleting the entry there is the most lasting fix; we will also do what we can on our side.
